On 14 June 2017, the Belarus National Academy of Sciences hosted a seminar devoted to the innovative SkyWay technology which was attended by the leaders and senior officials of the specialized academic institutes, universities, ministries and departments of the Rebublic of Belarus, as well as the employees of the project organization CJSC "String Technologies".
A lecture-presentation on the SkyWay project was delivered by its author and General Designer Anatoliy Yunitskiy. The presentation was followed by the discussion and the exchange of ideas. The questions addressed to the developers, touched the technical, operational, economic and other aspects of the string transport. Special attention was paid to the prospects of applying the proposed solutions in Belarus, their export and innovative potential. The majority of the participants’ general attitude in the three-hour discussion was felicitously illustrated by one of the transport university’s leading scientific employees, who reminded that the locomotive had been invented 40 years prior to its implementation. According to him, initially, everyone said, that it would not work, but afterwards-- that it was unstoppable.
In general, the project was supported at the seminar. There were discussed the possible future collaboration and the contribution of the Belarusian science to the development of the string transport.
