Today, the 12th international exhibition "International Railway Equipment Exhibition", one of the biggest events in the life of the transport community of Asia and the world, starts. The exhibition is held at the exposition center Pragati Maidan in Delhi.
The stand of the string transport is one of the highlights of this exhibition, as almost one hundred percent of exhibitors are representatives of the "traditional" modes of transport. The stand of the innovative transport is located in one exhibition zone with Russian Railways, which well symbolizes good neighborliness of the old and new technologies. After the invitation of Maxim Sokolov, Minister of Transport of Russia, to the EcoTechnoPark and thanks to thе neighbourship at this exhibition, our colleagues, the railway workers, have a good opportunity to get to know the technology more closely.
Viktor Baburin, Deputy General Director for Development of CJSC "String Technologies", comments: "The IREE exhibition is a logical step in the development of SkyWay in Asia. At the moment, we are focused on two countries: India and Indonesia, where the interaction with the scientific community has started successfully. The string transport offers a unique in its kind low-cost transport, and the reaction of the business and authorities in the Asian region shows that, perhaps, the September signed agreements are not the last ones even this year.
SkyWay attracted India's close attention in September during the joint Belorussian-Indian business forum, which was held simultaneously with the visit of the Head of the state and the governmental delegation of Belarus. According to its results, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the state of Maharashtra, as well as the Agreement with one of the ports and within the framework of the state program Smart Cities. The results of the Forum were reported by the media of India, Russia and Belarus (BelTA, as an example).
Earlier, this spring, several more documents on cooperation were signed. The chronology of the SkyWay development in India in 2017 is described in details in the separate article.
