Advantages of technology

XXI century is distinguished by intensive development of information technologies. The unique RSW-technology also belongs to the achievements of the new century. Rail Sky Way, or RSW, envisages creation of transport and communication junction, the efficiency and length of which will surpass all the existing analogues.


It is possible to eliminate intercrossing of differently directed traffic flows if one traffic flow is uplifted in relation to the other by a dozen meters, so as to provide uninterrupted passage of heavy-duty transport. Automobiles, trains, autocranes, agricultural machines will be able to move without any risk of collision with people or animals, without necessity to reduce speed. Rail automobile, unibus, moves along the rail track, which excludes a possibility of derailment, and consequently, any chance of collision with preceding and oncoming transport. Weather conditions and seasonal factors do not pose even the slightest threat to a unibus. High speed of a new type of transport forever removes the issue of overtaking and collisions, which are the most frequent reasons for accidents.


An important advantage is low net cost for passenger and cargo transportation, which is possible due to the following factors:
- – low fuel consumption for transportation of one person. Low diesel fuel consumption per 100 passengers while their transportation for X km determines energy cost per one passenger as 98 rubles. Introduction of electrified unibus will decrease transportation expenses by twofold, and even more;
- – reduced depreciation expenses are explained by simple design of a unibus. Calculations of infrastructure cost, required for 1 km of the track, gave the figure of 99 mln rubles, considering that this track will operate for 50 years with minimal expenses for maintenance of necessary safety and comfort level;
- low vehicle cost (in this case, it is a cargo or passenger rail automobile) and long service life, up to 100 years and more;
- – no need for a large number of workers for unibus maintenance, as all operations will be carried out by automatic control, as a result of which expenses will be reduced by twofold compared to railway transport expenses.


Nowadays, many of us come to work in the morning already tired after travelling by urban transport. Tiredness is aggravated, as we have to return home by the same way. Considering that a majority of megalopolis dwellers spend half of their free time in traffic jams and on the road, many of them suffer from chronic fatigue, which has a negative impact on the organism and causes stresses. Scientific research has shown that it is allowed to spend not more than 3 minutes in Moscow metro without getting harmful consequences to health. Excessive background sound as a result of electromagnetic field impact, accumulation of a large number of people on a rather limited territory, being underground – all these factors lead to stress, which does not disappear after leaving the metro, and, vice versa, becomes worse with every subsequent trip. Being in the underground system is troublesome for a person, it arouses negative emotions on the subconscious level. It is explained by the fact that during the centuries, this place triggers associations connected with burying of the dead and prison dungeons.


1. SkyWay tracks, lying across many places, which are difficult to reach at present (such as oceans, tundra, swamps, mountains, deserts, sea shelves), will allow to get an access to new earth resources. Such an access to different kinds of raw materials will save the world economy.
2. Cargo delivery by SkyWay cargo and passenger tracks will be by several times more cost-effective.
3. 3. Development of high-speed transport structure will decrease material intensity. Considering that the transport junction itself will have low resource intensity, significantly less steel and non-ferrous metals, ground, sand and reinforced concrete will be used. A continuous string rail will increase load-bearing capacity of supports, being under the main load, as for each anchor support there are about 100 intermediate supports. The assumed saving of building materials for SkyWay network 25 km long will make as follows: steel – 270 bln tons, reinforced concrete – 2.7 tln tons.
In addition, SkyWay transport overpass has obvious advantages compared to a conventional earth embankment. Thus, volume of earthwork will be reduced by over 100 times, which will preserve soil and landscape in the construction zone; or, at least, the damage will be minimal. It is explained in a simple way: laying of railways and highways leads to additional compacting of earth embankment. As a result, the road looks like a dam, crossing beds of surface and ground waters; in this case, soil becomes dry on one side of the road, and on the other – it turns into swamp. This situation causes serious damage to the ecological balance, migration of animals and leads to reduction, and with time to complete extinction, of representatives of flora and fauna.


SkyWay envisages creation of advanced communication network, which will be characterized by such indices as high travel speed, environmental friendliness, affordability and safety. All types of tracks – cargo, intercity and urban – will form the unified system, accessible in any places with rough natural peculiarities: in impenetrable jungles, taigas, deserts and mountains, on sea shelves and permafrost territories. They will pass at the height of over 50 m above the ground. In the end, these opportunities will boost economic development of each country. Here, the guaranty of profit for future generations will consist in increased taxes and charges and increased employment of population, as innovative technologies will require highly qualified staff. In its turn, this ensures a higher standard of living for millions of people, a possibility to cover big distances within significantly shorter time, which will allow people to spend their free time for social activities.


Application of RSW-technologies will give humanity the opportunity to save over 300 bln tons of fuel resources. Without the need to burn fuel, people will also save 106 bln tons of oxygen and preserve the atmospheric layer from emissions of hazardous burning components. Minerals will be extracted in reduced volume, as it will not be required to produce metal, concrete and other materials for construction of tracks.
One kilometer of railways or high-speed highway, including the infrastructure, deprives users of natural earth resources of about 4 ha of fertile soil. In contrast, it is necessary to create just 25 mln of SkyWay tracks using RSW-technologies in order to save a vast area of fertile soil from destruction, with the construction cost of about 100 tln USD.


Transport sector, like any other, is distinguished by impressive innovative developments – each succeeding generation demonstrates improved characteristics for new models. It is clearly seen by the example of SkyWay network, particularly, its unibus efficiency. SkyWay transport, based on string technologies of Dr. Yunitskiy, is a high-speed vehicle with the weight of 10 tons and 50 seats. The expected travel speed developed by unibus is 450 km/h and more. In order to reach such high speed, there will be required a powerful engine of 398 kW, that is 7.96 kW per one passenger. Of it, about 368 kW will be spent on aerodynamics. It has been experimentally proved that efficiency of any high-speed transport system directly depends on its aerodynamic indices. In case of a unibus, 21.5 litres of diesel fuel will be consumed per each 100 kilometres of the distance covered.


If we trace the whole development path of humanity from the day of its appearance, it is possible to note that even an early man preferred a technocratic development pattern by constantly improving primitive tools. Nowadays, in the century of technical progress, many scientists consider a possibility of locating dangerous technologies outside the Planet due to harmful consequences of their use. Being in space, they will be completely harmless and will not pose any danger to our flora, fauna and atmospheric layer, which protects the Earth from deadly radiation and cosmic dust. Many of us still do not realize that the borders of our habitation are not limited by the doorstep of our house, but have more extensive horizons.
